Ron Bumpus was born and raised in Lampasas, Texas, where his childhood revolved around the outdoors. If he wasn’t on a sports field or court, you could find him hunting or fishing across the rivers, pastures, and woods of Central Texas.
Ron graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. His time at A&M was more than an academic experience—it was where he formed lasting friendships and began building a network that continues to support his professional endeavors today.
In 2004, he returned to Lampasas to join his father, John R. Bumpus, at Bumpus Real Estate Services. Under the mentorship of one of Central Texas’s most respected real estate appraisers, Ron earned his Texas real estate license and appraisal license where he learned firsthand the importance of integrity, market knowledge, and client relationships.
In 2008, Ron partnered with his brother Rex to establish Mossy Oak Properties – Lampasas. The duo built a successful business that grew over the years, and in 2025, they joined forces with their oldest brother, Rob, to form Bumpus Ranches & Residential—a family-run firm that brings together deep local roots, strong industry experience, and a true passion for Texas land.
In addition to his real estate sales work, Ron is a licensed appraiser, serving a wide swath of Central Texas. His dual expertise allows him to provide clients with a comprehensive understanding of both property values and market trends—making him a trusted resource in all facets of the real estate process —from initial assessment to closing.
When he’s not assisting clients or working on appraisals, Ron can usually be found outdoors—hunting, fishing, or supporting his children at their sporting events. He is a proud husband to his wife, Jaci, and a devoted father to their two children, Kord and Kase
